Why do I have to make a tuition deposit when I register my child for school?

When a contract requires monthly payments for a specified period of time, it is common practice to place a deposit upfront. Likewise, we require a deposit at the time of enrollment as our assurance that you intend to fulfill our contract. If the contract is fulfilled, the deposit will then be applied to your final tuition payment in May.

 

Do you accept credit card payments?

No, we do not accept credit card payments.

 

Why do I need to bring school supplies when I’ve already paid a material fee?

The material fee you paid is for your child’s curriculum and daily supplies, such as construction paper, craft supplies, paint, etc.  Each teacher will provide a school supply list for additional supplies which are not included in your material fee at registration, such as crayons, markers, glue etc. 

 

When will I find out who my child’s teacher is for the school year?

You will learn who your child’s teacher is at “Meet the Teacher” in August. Our goal is to make sure every child is in the best learning environment for their age and developmental level. Due to the many changes that occur over the summer, the class lists are finalized shortly before the new school year begins.

 

Can I request a certain teacher for my child?

We take many things into consideration when we plan for the year. We look at your child’s age and boy/girl ratio for each class and it is our goal to optimize the learning environment for each child. Although it is not always possible to grant teacher requests, we will take them into consideration when finalizing the class lists.

 

Do I need to buy a backpack for school?

No,  the required tote bag that was purchased at registration is to be used for school.  The tote bag is for your child's  lunch, snack, water bottle and other items they will need.  This tote bag is the appropriate size for take home items and is easy to manage for your child and teacher as well.

 

Do I send a lunch and snack for my child?

Yes, you will need to send a lunch and snack along with a water bottle each day. All items need to be labeled with your child’s name.

 

Do you have a bad weather policy?

We will notify the families if the need arises for school cancellation due to weather via email and text. Steiner Christian Preschool follows Leander ISD's  bad weather policy.  If LISD is either delayed or closed, Steiner Christian Preschool will be closed for the day.
